Although the October weather has been pretty mild here in the UK, I know that the blistering COLD is on its way. I have taken it upon myself to start my winter Coat hunt now!
Ladies you know how difficult it is to find a good tall coat, one that is not sold out. I did some of the leg work and will be sharing some of my fav finds here over the next few weeks.
I start with this Charcoal Plaid Boy Friend fit Coat from Dorothy Perkins.
I will be the first to say that this Coat does not look very appealing on the site. Unfortunately since we do not much choice but to shop online, I had to take a chance. Ladies do not be afraid to take a chance!
This boyfriend fit coat is fierce. Totally different to anything in my wardrobe. A great variety if your looking for something to spice up your wardrobe.
I particularly love that I can turn up the sleeves and for the first time it is not because the sleeves are too short.
So there you have it. What do you think of this Coat. Would you wear it ? Would you buy it ?
In case your wondering about the rest of my outfit. Details below.

Cami Top- Asos
Jeans- Topshop (Tall Joni Jeans)

As I walked through the Brent Cross shopping mall in London I was instantly drawn to the Model’s own stand. OMG it was amazing. It was like a big candy store so colourful and FULL of nail goodies.
To top things off they had an offer on
5 items for £20
Woooooow. I just had to take 5 fabulous colours.
This was the first time I had seen hyper gel nail polish. A little sceptical at first but this stuff is GOOD.
No need for UV lights
No more curing time
No more long soak off process.
Say yes to salon quality nails at home
YES to glossy finish
YES to mega shine
YES to a great colour range
YES to that nail gel look
A week later this nail polish has stayed put. Minimal chips. Yaaaassss.
Let me know if you have tried the hyper gel polish. Is it not great !
Yes my nails are real and 100% natural. Find out the secret of how I grow my nails on my youtube.

The seventies is definitely before my time but I really enjoy experimenting with different looks and fashions from different era’s.
I am breaking down this look to share how I achieved it. Enjoy !
For the times when you cant afford a real SUEDE skirt, … a suedette one from New look will do just fine. See, you couldn’t even tell the difference. 😀
I also really like the fit of this over the knee boots, not only does it got over my calf ( yes thats a common issue for me) but it also fits my tights.
Ultimately, this look has a element of fun and sophisticated chic about it. Day or Night you cant go wrong!
Let me know what you think of this 70s fashion biology post. Also dont forget to connect with me on Instagram @ijaykheavens ( lets be friends)

To achieve this look I threw on this sleeveless duster coat onto what would have been an all black looks.
Interesting how it completely changes things up.
Thought I had better warn you.. I have been living in my turtle neck/ roll neck as the weather changes. It looks so trendy. .. even If I say so myself. You will be seeing more of this.

Thank you for still having a tall section in a majority of your stores. To often have I seen the tall section shunted to the tiny corner (usually at the very back of the store), you will be lucky if you find a rack of tall clothing in the stores who have a tall range. In many cases its totally non existent…. zero… zilch…nadah…diddly-squat.
As if we tall ladies do not matter or exist.
“Am so sorry you can only shop the range online now”.
“The full collection is only online”
We only exist in cyber space !
No it’s not the largest collection nor the most trendy but my god is it refreshing to see.
Ok…. rant over

I work so hard for my ££ so I have to be doubly sure before spending it.
This Bittersweet pro longwear lip pencil from M.A.C was a bittersweet purchase @ £15.00 but it is soooo worth it.
I used this lip pencil all over the lips to achieve this matte lip colour. I only learnt to do this recently ( thanks Saima for the head up😉) and it is fantastic. I love the standard matte lipsticks but I find they get very dryy and crackly.
Don’t you just love that rusty brown shade 💋
I have to give it to M.A.C this prolong lip pencil glide on so smoothly. It’s almost like a second skin. At time of writing this lips pencil has been on for 6 hrs.
A Tall and plus thumbs up from me.

Three cheers for Dorothy Perkins. woop woop woop.
I hope I am not the only one that’s excited about this new development. I have been a HUGH fan for Dorothy Perkins. I remember being in school and never being able to get trousers to fit my long legs. Dorothy Perkins was the only shop that could save me from wearing skirts in the winter because I could not find black trousers to fit. I remain loyal to them for that very reason.
Check out some of my favs from the new range.
You know I love sparkly things so this top is so up my street. Looks a perfect length too.
Am sorry, its another sparkly number. But this time with a little shoulder sexyness. hehehe
I have chosen this dress because checks are totally trending this season. The model wore it exceptionally well.
I have real reason for choosing this skirt as my final piece other than it just looks awesome.
A Tall and plus size thumbs up to DP for this fabulous collection. The only down side is that I would have loved to see more colour in the range. If you ask me they played it safe.
Till next time xx

Sooooo a few weeks ago I become a Godmother for the very first time. Not totally sure what this new role would entail but I am completely humbled and over joyed to have even been considered. In a rather shallow manner “what to wear” was one of the first things on my mind💭💭💭💭. Yes this topic was phone conversation worthy and I am glad that wearing white was ruled out early on in the conversation. And then it hit me….
Bright hues would be brilliant for a baptism
There you have it, todays look was born.
I have been looking for a yellow blazer this shade for the longest, well, since I saw Gabrielle Union looking fabulous in one on season 1 of BMJ. Then I spotted this beauty in my local Topshop on the sales aisle. The icing on the cake was when I noticed that it was TALLLLL!!! ( Winning 👌👌🙌😄)
Not a bad match huh?
Let me know your thought on this look… you likie?

This whole grey hair thing has been taking the world by storm. I never really understood why people have been resisting mother nature for many years with the use of anti-ageing products yet happily speed up the greying process by dying their hair grey.
Totally over my head. Luckily for you , I am not sharing my new hair colour with you today. But I have re-discovered my love for grey clothing.
I usually shy away from grey’s in the summer because they are the worst for showing the world that you can’t handle the heat.
The poor J Hud…..
SOoo..I am just re-educating myself on how to wear Grey. As things cool down in London town I can comfortably wear this beautifully elegant colour without worrying about …. *covering eyes* sweat patches.
The one thing I love about grey is that you can work it as black( of-course nothing can be or ever replace black), but it is a pretty good base colour to add colour to.
Today’s outfit is a very plain and simple tunic dress. Less was definitely more here and totally flattering
I completed this outfit with patent nude sandals. These shoes were a gem from good ol’ Marks and Spencer a while back. I particularly like the perspex heel on them and the block heel makes it a breeze to walk in.

Hey Guys, I just wanted to share with you some of my Favourite Fab Fall Flats… yikes.. that’s such a tongue twister. I would not say it in a hurry if I were you.
I do love my flat days, especially for the times when practical and comfort are the rule of the day.
I fell in love with these nude patent pumps just because of the embellishment *coveringface* is that sad?? Yes I can be super girlie and I would say YES to some sparkles any day.
Brogues have never been so trendy. Topshop really pushed the boat out with this contrast toe cap, lace-up front and cut out style.
Hope you like my Fab Fall flats collection. Do let me know which trendy flats you have added to your shoe collection recently.
