Ultimate non smudge liquid eyeliner

For as long as I can remember I have battled with my eyeliner Never staying put and the dreaded ‘panda eye’.

I remember a friend advising meto invest more money in buying better quality eyeliners. Some said to use primers. However, with all that I would still end up with eyeliner or mascara flakes on my cheekbones by the end of the day. The frustration of having to always wipe below my eye was getting to me.

Alot of brands claim to be non smudge etc but we all know that some brands are not always honest. Coupled with the fact that each persons body chemistry will react differently to different products.

I stumbled on this Kiko Milano Waterflower magic eyeliner by accident and boy am I glad I did.

This eyeliner drys within minutes of applying it. Best of all it STAYS PUT WITHOUT SMUDGING.

The straw that broke the camel’s back has got to be the fact that it is currently under £4. This is 4 times less than what I was paying for my old eyeliner which did not give me the results I wanted.

I am still trying to get to grips with the angled brush but so far, it’s worked wonders in helping me line the inner corners of my eyes.

I literally can’t believe that I have an eyeliner which works for me and is crazy cheap.

Primark-Metallic matte Lip crayon review

Hey guys … so while I have been deeply in love with my matte lipsticks, things have been changing in the lipstick world.

The trend has gone from the more matte the better to super shine metallic lipsticks.

I am not sure how I feel about this look but the celebs and fashion houses are making it work.  Before investing in what seems to be a fleeting trend, I thought I would test the waters with the Metallic Matte lip crayon from Primark. I purchases the 24k Dip and the Dark Berry.

I have used these lip crayons before so I had a rough idea of what I would be getting. Check out my other reviews here.  The quality I get in these lip crayons are so worth every bit of my £2, But sharpening them are a nightmare.

I know fashion has a way of going and coming but these metallic lipstick’s remind me of something my mum would have worn in the 80’s. 

That said, we are in the times were highlighting is everything!  I see this trend as a way of highlighting and bringing focus to the lip. 

My number one tip for wearing metallic lips is to really tone down everything else.  Allow your lips to be the main jewel and focus on your face . I don’t have any facial pieceings but this look makes me feel like am wearing jewellery on my lips,  Especially the 24k dip.

My last comment about this product is that on applying this lipstick, I noticed that it has a slight scent to it.

                               🤔🤔???

I am not keen on using scented products on my face … but I guess sweet smelling lips might not be such a bad thing.  😗

M.A.C Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour -Red Jade review

Hey guys a flash review of the MAC matte liquid lip colour in Red Jade. This was a blind purchase in terms of buying it without actually seeing the colour in real life. My decision was based on the colour shown on the MAC site. 

This lip colour is applied as a liquid but it drys matte.  I loved these types of lipsticks because they are very long lasting and do not transfer. Although this is called a Red Jade, it has an orangy undertone.  Shades like this are very vibrant and great for the summer. I was so pleased with the colour. Totally my kinda thing. 

I had some challenges applying this lip colour. In order to avoid streaks I had to apply 2-3 coats. DO NOT pat down once the lipstick has started to dry.   I mad this mistake and had to start over because it caused clumping .

I really like the applicator. The shaping helps with going round the lips for better precision. So far I have had lots of compliments on this lipstick.  I bought it here with 30%off.  The great news is that MAC are doing 20% off all products right now using the discount code mac20. MUA LUXE Velvet lip lacquer – Gravity

So this is the last of the 3 lipsticks bought from the MUA LUXE velvet lip lacquer range. 

Today am wearing the shade Gravity.

This colour did not disappoint. I have been trying to build my collection of nudes and this fits perfectly into what I have already. 

The product is marketed as Long wear. In all honestly it last me all day. I usually have to use a makeup cleanser to remove this lipstick at the end od the day. Am sure you are all wondering if there is any transfer. You will be pleased to know that there is no transfer once dry.

MUA LUXE Velvet lip lacquer – Euphoria

Hey guys … so today am trying out the Euphoria Velvet Lip Lacquer.

Not sure how to describe this lipstick.  It looks very Pinky in the hand. Almost like a baby pink.

However on applying it, it is super bright and rather luminous. 

This is not for the faint hearted.

While am growing to love this shade I found the application some what difficult. The colour was streaky. So in my effort to combat this I applied various layers …ooooops. BIG MISTAKE ! Sadly this just made the lipstick very thick and a little crackly.

I decided to tone this lip colour down by lining my lips. 

I have one more lip colour to trial.   Stay tuned . Let me know which colours loving so far

MUA LUXE Velvet lip lacquer – Sizzle

Lipsticks are a girl’s bestfriend.  It’s even better when you find a good buy. 

You can image the glee when I found out the superdrugs were doing 3 for 2 on beauty products. I didn’t plan on buying this lipsticks but the offer was too good to miss🙈

I spotted the MUA LUXE liquid lipstic and thought I would give it a try. 

Totally impressed by the colours available. Cool nudes and some vibrant blue shapes.

I opted for the Sizzle as I do not currently own any rusty orange shades of lipstick.   This is exactly how I would describe this lipstick. A rusty, burnt orange tone. 

This lipstick tub is well designed with a light frosted finish.  

I like the pigmentation of this lipstick. Well worth the £3.  Yes I said £3. It dries fairly quickly so you have to be quick. Once dry my lips do not feel hard and dry, or crumbly like most matte lipsticks. 

I will keep you all posted on how I get on with the other shaded that I bought.

Perfect red lips

Red lips are a classic and you just can’t go wrong.

The only problem is that with so many different shades/brands and texture’s of red lipstick,  which do you go for.?


BRANDS

Deciding which brand to go will depend on your budget. Do you have the budget for designer lipsticks or drug store brand. 

You many also want to consider which brands are creulty free or vegan. Maybe considee which brands use only natural product’s if that’s your thing.
TEXTURE/ FINISH

Once you have that decided on thr brands your prefer, you want to consider the texture or the finish. Are you into the matte look or maybe your more into a glossy finish girl.

M.A.C has about 8 different lipstick textures so fear not. You are bound to find something that suits you. 
SHADE /TONE

Finally, with all the above decided , your ready to decide on which tone or shade of really you want. 

Believe it or not, ever red is not the same. Some red lipsticks have blue/ purple tones. For example the classic M.A.C Ruby Woo, or the Illamasque  Salacious.

You may prefer lipsticks with an orange undertone.  Such as the Illamasque Liable, or the MUA lipstick in shade 13.

Th last tone you might want to consider is pinky shades of red. These include the Illamasque Atomic or Impulse.  I also love the Maybelline Fatal Red.
You may find that some shades/tones of red lipstick will suit different skin complexions more.

Primark- PS Matte Long Last Lipstick (Atomic) Review

So I recently lost my lipstick bag😯😯 and some fabulous lipstick shades. I was so gutted but I have been having a blast rebuilding my collection💄💄💄.

I went back to Primark for a mini haul .

This product is marketed as a matte lipstick.  I found that it’s not as drying or matte as the likes of MAC or Lime Crime. In a way I liked this.  Non of that chapped lips look .

This pink shade is called Atomic. It reminds me soo much of the Utopia by LimeCrime.  But at a fraction of the price…. winning.

L.A. Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss -Review

Yes.. we are talking lipsticks again. As I  have previously said Lipsticks are the perfect finishing touch. 

The great face changer!

I came across L.A. Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss on my quest for cheaper alternatives. Omg ,I am totally sold out.  This lipstick applies as a liquid and dries matte. For the price it has great pigmentation.

A must have for my fellow lipstick junkies.
The price was sooo good I bought 3.
Dreamy, Rebel and Backstage.

I am totally in love with Backstage. (It makes my teeth look extra white 😆)

FINALLY – This lipstick is SUPER long lasting . I even struggle to take it off at the end of the day.

Primark- Velvet matte lip crayon review.

I have always wondered why some comestics cost so much. Yet you get the likes of Primark and Superdrugs stocking similar products (unknown brands) for a fraction of the price.

I took a chance and purchased the Velvet matte lip crayon In D-Purple from PRIMARK.
This £2 lip pencil was worth every penny.

It glides on smoothly. The velvet quality means that it does not leave your lips feeling dry and flaky like some matte lipsticks.

I particularly like the fact that I can sharpen this crayon for greater precision.
