Blazer + Joggers = Ultimate Online meeting outfit.

For years we have been occupied with getting our work office outfits down to a fine art.

Who knew that platforms like Zoom and Teams would become the new office space. We certainly were not prepared for this massive shift nor were we informed of the correct online meeting etiquettes. To have camers on or to not. To get dressed up or to not (that’s has to be for a different post).

I have certainly been stung by being too casually dressed during meetings. So you can imagine my joy when I saw trends of how to get the best of both smart and casual wears.

I have been living and breathing joggers for the last 5 months. They are super comfort, easy and double up as so many things. Lounge wear, sleepwear, heading down to the post office wear and now online meeting wear. Ha🤣. I paired mine with a checked boyfriend blazer for a smart casual look. As we usher in the autumn a high neck top seemed perfect for this look. A crop top would work perfectly too.

If like me you are having to occasionally visit the office then complete this look with a pair of shoes or sandals..

I actually wore this for my sisters birthday gathering. And the best part is that these are all items I already had in my wardrobe.

Let me know your thoughts. Could this look work for you? What do you currently wear on your online video meetings. Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.

3 ways to style a neon shirt -tall girls edition

What a way to tell the world that am back to sharing styles, looks and trends on this platform, than with a post on styling neons.

If you have not seen this eighties trend about, then maybe you have not been looking. I really doubt it will survive beyond Spring/summer 19 so I wouldn’t buy a whole wardrobe full of neons. A few neon essentials are enough to keep you on trend all season long.

Here’s how I styled mine 3 ways.

Girl power – Power suit.

Girl power is taking over and we are doing it looking fierce and fabulous in all shades of power suits.

Take your average work suit and sprinkle a little rainbow dust on it for the ultimate power suit. This trend is all about varied fits and vibrant coloured suits.

There is literally a suit to suit everybody, even if it means pairing items from different shops.

I loved the colour of these cropped trouser so much that I hunted them down from Dorothy Perkins. I then paired it with a jacket from Zara for my personal take on power suits. This pairing cost me less than £80 and saved me approximately £40. The colours are not perfectly matching but it looks intentional and helps to break up the look.

What are your thoughts on this look. Personally I think its a double win. Even when you are not having such a great day, a power suit will have you winning.🤗

Just in case you need more inspiration. Check out this power suit from the Asos tall range

Tall Mom Jeans review .

One of my friends saw me wearing these jeans and said I have never seen you in jeans before.

……errrrm but I am constantly in skinny jeans ! Are guys really that unbothered about what women wear???

It eventually dawned on me that what he meant that he has never seen me in true demin jeans ( mom jeans) before .   It is often the case that we mistake the blend of demin, cotton and elastane in the form of high waisted skinny jeans to be true cotton demin.

My friend was so right.  This is probably my first true demin in a very very long while.

I kinda like it!

I have envied my sister’s rocking their ‘mom jeans’.🙉 It been on my ‘to buy’ list for ages too.  The problem has always been finding one that would fit right.

The stretch in regular jeans have been a God send for me. Hence finding jeans without stretch that fit my waist, hip and height has been the cross I have had to carry till I bought these.

I am wearing a 36w/36l. It’s a little roomy on  the waist but for the most part they fit well.

When I see myself in these jeans, I totally see my mum back in the 80’s/ 90’s. Now I get why these are called Mom Jeans.

I really love the stirrup hem on theses. It really take me back. Not to mention it adds character and authenticity to the jeans.

I do wonder how these jeans will keep up. I worry that the denim will soften after a few wears and become too baggy ( since there is no stretch). What are your experiences with mom jeans ?

I guess only time will tell. For the moment am loving them and can’t wait to wear it with white trainers .

Outfit details-

Grey cropped sweat top – Zara.

Mid wash blue mom jeans with Stirrup hem- Asos.

Red shoes – Marks and Spencer

Hope you like ?

Diy Pearl Jeans -Tall girls

Hey friends,

It’s almost the end of summer and I desperately wanted to join the pearl jeans gang. I think it looks so cool paired with white sneakers or mules.

I searched the internet and found not one pair of tall pearl jeans.  I wasn’t gonna to let this go…. the idea of buying a regular pair of jeans and making it work crossed my mind🤔🤔 but I didn’t want to settle for that.

I had just bought a new pair of Joni Jeans from the Topshop sales. So I decided to make my very own pearl jeans.

Whenever I go to Walthamstow market, I feel like a kid at a candy store. I love checking out the fabric and haberdashery stores. My mind literally wonders as I think about all the things I can customise or make.

I bought a chain pearls for £1. It contained about 100 pearls, although I can’t tell you the size.

Deciding where to place the beads was easy. I wanted something eye catching so I sewed the pearls randomly by the ankles of the Jeans and along the waist/thigh area.

It turned out more beautiful than expected.  Totally worth the hard work of making a knot behind each pearl.  I have since learnt that I could have used pearl rivets to speed things up… maybe next time.

I finish this look by pairing my pearl jeans with an asymmetric hem top from Zara and mules from Dorothy Perkins.  Read more about these shoes here

Cold Shoulder Dress

Some trends are fleeting but this is one that I think will stay for a while. What I love most about this trend that it is a very simple way of showing some skin whilst remaining modest. I would recommend this for my corporate friends too.

The shoulder is extremely beautiful and very sensual, hence this trend is very flattering. To top it all off… this dress has a wrap front.  I love this feature in dresses and I think it works well for the curver body.

I made the best find while shopping for cold shoulder dress.  I bought the little beauty from ASOS tall.  This is a classic less is more dress.  It cost less than £15 but it looks like so much more. You are in luck as there are a few sizes left.  Shop this dress HERE

I completed this look with a pair of shoes from New look and a Zara Large purse.

Hope I pulled this £11 dress off with class and style.  Let me know your  thoughts

Tall high waisted Jeans review.

Guys its never easy to find a good pair of Jeans ( let alone high waisted jeans) as a tall gyal.  I have been busy finding and trying on a bunch of jeans and have come up with 5 jeans that i think are pretty awe.

All the jeans reviewed are super affordable and would be prefect for the season.  Kicking thing off with a pair of jeans from

MisGuided

These Black Sinner High Waisted Extreme Ripped Skinny Jeans have really really grown on me.  I bought a size 16 and it fits as good as it looks.  The frilled hem are totally on trend. These jeans are paired with a blouse from Boohoo and mules from Dorothy Perkins.

My second purchase from Misguided are the  Tall Vice High Waisted Super Stretch Skinny Jean – Light blue in a UK size 14.  I still can not believe that I managed to squeeze into a size 14.  I adore the colour and the fit of these jeans, definitely one for the summer months. More than anything am loving the outfit combo.

Topshop

A must have for every lady is the Topshop high waisted Joni jeans.  I love the variety of colours available in the range.  These jeans are from the hold power collection so they are super firm on the stomach area.  I am so glad that Topshop have this range because the standard Joni jean get slack and over stretched after several wears.

You can shop this jean Here and the embroidered mesh top which is currently on sale Here.

New Look

These are the cheapest of them all at just £22.99.  Probably not the most high waisted pair of jeans but they are very decent for the price. I really wish this jeans would sit higher on the waist.  I was also a little disappointment at the quality of the black- 😦  but hey… its less than 25 quid! You can shop these here.

Dorothy Perkins

Currently my favourite ” go to ” pair of high waisted jeans at present.  Who would not love these when you can go a whole dress size smaller.  I love how stretchy these jeans are and they are proper High waisted. These jeans do leave black dye reside on your skin after wear but is nothing a few washed wont  sort.  You can shop these fab jeans Here.

So that’s my 5 high waisted jeans review.  Its one thing reading and seeing pictures but videos are sooooo much better.  Check out my video review over on YouTube below.  Let me know if you want to see more style/ fashion/ review videos.

Hunting for a denim shirt dress!!

Each summer am always on the look out for the Ultimate denim shirt dress.  Am pretty convinced that if or when I eventually find the perfect one for me I will keep it for the rest of my life.

I am very serious because denim dresses never go out of style so you can wear it year after year …after year.

I recently bought this denim dress from River Island because I love that fact that it has popper front fastenings.  I literally can’t stand doing up buttons and I certainly don’t have the patience to button a whole dress shirt. Between me and you …there is also something very satisfying about ripping poppers open 💪💪💪.

This dress is from the plus range and I bought a Size 18. It is such a cool denim colour but it’s like am wearing my little sister dress 😩. YtwThis dress was sooo close to being the one but it needs about 4 inches to the length to work for me. The struggle is so real. When you are tall a mini dress can easily become Wini!

At just £20 is cute dress would fit perfectly in any wardrobe and you can shop this look here .
I completed this look with a pair of Nike trainers and a head scarf, oh and one tassel earring (very essential)

Guys am still on the hunt for a denim dress.  One that is not too short, just above the needs would be perfect.  All suggestions welcomed 😘😘

Thanks in advance. See you soon.

Five rules for wearing floral prints

Hey lovelies. …. we can hardly make it past summer without saying the ‘F’ word. Floral prints are definitely a summer staple.

Deciding which floral print to wear can be the problem. Is there any such thing as a dated print? Are some prints more suited for specific sessions ? ????🤔

Fashion rules are there to be pushed and broken. But here are 5 rules to help you in wearing floral prints this summer.

Rule  No. 1

Wear whatever print makes you happy and comfortable . During the summer months you might find that larger sized  prints are more suited to match the bright and vibrant weather.  During the winter you can get away with adding colour and character to grey and cold days with smaller sized floral prints.

Rule No. 2

It is not a crime to wear floral print on floral print.  It takes a very special kind of person to pull this off.  If you are going the extra mile and wish to wear clashing prints, take care not to over do it. Medium sized prints with small sized floral prints might just be the right balance.
Rule No. 3

Make a statement with your floral print.  Maximum the impact of your floral print by wearing it in a maxi-dress or by draping it in a duster/ kimono.
Rule No. 4

Be brave enough to experiment with colour. Opt for colours which suit your complexion for a girly and fresh look.
Rule No. 5

If you are still not sure how to join the flower power movement, floral embroidery item are on trend and perfect for this season.

How are you floral-ing this season. Have fun with it.
