3 ways to style a neon shirt -tall girls edition

What a way to tell the world that am back to sharing styles, looks and trends on this platform, than with a post on styling neons.

If you have not seen this eighties trend about, then maybe you have not been looking. I really doubt it will survive beyond Spring/summer 19 so I wouldn’t buy a whole wardrobe full of neons. A few neon essentials are enough to keep you on trend all season long.

Here’s how I styled mine 3 ways.

Tall Mom Jeans review .

One of my friends saw me wearing these jeans and said I have never seen you in jeans before.

……errrrm but I am constantly in skinny jeans ! Are guys really that unbothered about what women wear???

It eventually dawned on me that what he meant that he has never seen me in true demin jeans ( mom jeans) before .   It is often the case that we mistake the blend of demin, cotton and elastane in the form of high waisted skinny jeans to be true cotton demin.

My friend was so right.  This is probably my first true demin in a very very long while.

I kinda like it!

I have envied my sister’s rocking their ‘mom jeans’.๐Ÿ™‰ It been on my ‘to buy’ list for ages too.  The problem has always been finding one that would fit right.

The stretch in regular jeans have been a God send for me. Hence finding jeans without stretch that fit my waist, hip and height has been the cross I have had to carry till I bought these.

I am wearing a 36w/36l. It’s a little roomy on  the waist but for the most part they fit well.

When I see myself in these jeans, I totally see my mum back in the 80’s/ 90’s. Now I get why these are called Mom Jeans.

I really love the stirrup hem on theses. It really take me back. Not to mention it adds character and authenticity to the jeans.

I do wonder how these jeans will keep up. I worry that the denim will soften after a few wears and become too baggy ( since there is no stretch). What are your experiences with mom jeans ?

I guess only time will tell. For the moment am loving them and can’t wait to wear it with white trainers .

Outfit details-

Grey cropped sweat top – Zara.

Mid wash blue mom jeans with Stirrup hem- Asos.

Red shoes – Marks and Spencer

Hope you like ?

Thanks for stopping by.

See you soon .

Cold Shoulder Dress

Some trends are fleeting but this is one that I think will stay for a while. What I love most about this trend that it is a very simple way of showing some skin whilst remaining modest. I would recommend this for my corporate friends too.

The shoulder is extremely beautiful and very sensual, hence this trend is very flattering. To top it all off… this dress has a wrap front.  I love this feature in dresses and I think it works well for the curver body.

I made the best find while shopping for cold shoulder dress.  I bought the little beauty from ASOS tall.  This is a classic less is more dress.  It cost less than ยฃ15 but it looks like so much more. You are in luck as there are a few sizes left.  Shop this dress HERE

I completed this look with a pair of shoes from New look and a Zara Large purse.

Hope I pulled this ยฃ11 dress off with class and style.  Let me know your  thoughts

5 reasons why I have been In love with ASOS Sinnceee!!!!

image

As its Valentines day, am calling a spade a spade and laying my cards down.
I have been loving Asos for a minute.
I am always quick to embrace any tall range, but the love for Asos is very different.
Here is why:

1- I have a HUGE issue with things not fitting well. I have been a fitting model for years and it has made me obsessed with pukered or cracking stitches, garment balance etc …
It makes all the difference when cloths are fitted on various sizes and graded well. Thank you Asos for using real models and getting you grading right on most occasions and your fitting is pretty consistent ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.
I know a size 16 will always fit from Asos.

2- Sadly Asos does not have a physical shop anywhere and there is nothing worse than seeing something online , ordering it only to realise it’s totally not what you expected. Thank God for the genius who came up with the Asos catwalk view. ๐Ÿ‘Œ.
It makes such a difference. I can see how the garment fits and moves on an actual body.

3- I get super annoyed when I have to pay for delivery.ย  Yes I know people shouldn’t work for free but I always place my order then remember I forgot to add an item to the basket. ๐Ÿ˜’. So I have to order again and pay for delivery all over again.ย  Asos on the other hand gives me free delivery so I can order and order till my card gets declined. If your impatient like me. You can gave unlimited next day delivery for just ยฃ9.99. โœ”

4- I love that when I click on Asos tall, I get a variety of other tall brands .ย  No need to leave the site. It’s all there.ย  Thanks Asos for bringing tall brands together.ย

Finally.. it can be a real struggle to get tall clothes that look and fit great. Am not complaining because things have improved alot from when I was a teenager.
I have to say Asos is number 1 for keeping their tall range current, upto date and restocked. As I write this post there are 450 tall styles to choose from.ย  Tall womenย  need and love choice. It just thrills me.

I really could go on and I will just mention this one last thing plssss.
Don’t you just love that Asos prices is reasonable.ย  I was blessed with my height. Don’t penalise me with a higher price tag JUST because the item is tall. !

Ok … thats me doneย

See you soon.
