Primark- Velvet matte lip crayon review.

I have always wondered why some comestics cost so much. Yet you get the likes of Primark and Superdrugs stocking similar products (unknown brands) for a fraction of the price.

image

I took a chance and purchased the Velvet matte lip crayon In D-Purple from PRIMARK.
This Β£2 lip pencil was worth every penny.

It glides on smoothly. The velvet quality means that it does not leave your lips feeling dry and flaky like some matte lipsticks.

image

I particularly like the fact that I can sharpen this crayon for greater precision.

image

For just Β£2 you are getting a fabulous lip colour that will do wonders for your smile.πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Why not to pack away your summer clothes in the winter

Hey guys … lets talk.

image

Aside from being 50% busy and 50% lazy, IΒ  do not always get the chance to pack away my summer clothing at the end of the season.

I now make my schedule and lasiness work for me.
I have worn my summer clothing in the winter by layer them up and it means I can get more wear out if the clothing.
This trick works wonderfully with cropped tops.

I wear it over dresses , with high waisted trousers, over shirts and here I teamed it perfectly with a denim shirt.

Travel Diaries – Hard Rock Cafe -Lagos

So just the other evening I had the pleasure of experiencing the brand new Hard Rock Cafe in Lagos.
Omg! Can I just say the ambience was amazing. People milling around, friendly staff and music in the background.
I almost felt as if I had been transported out of Lagos to a different city.Β

I liked the fact that there was a good mix of people at this location ( lots of Expatriates). It was full but not too busy, so great for meeting people and networking ( if people on Lagos stop being so stush).

We sat upstairs and had a great view of the stage and the downstairs area.
Plenty of staff and we were seated relatively quickly.

image

Unfortunately the service was a little slow but the cocktails made up for it. I ordered the electric blue and it was superb.
The pricing of then cocktails ranged from 2300 naira to 4500 naira.Β
Personally, I thought it was a bit pricey for Nigeria but what do I know.😐

I ordered the prawn fajitas. It’s arrived late and the guacamole was off. 😳😳😳

image

We were captivated my the deserts as the staff served the neighbouring table so we ordered our bundle of calories.

image

image

This picture does not do this desert any justice. It was HUGE.
Perfect for sharing.

To finish things off we had some onstage entertainment.

Overall, a lovely evening. Lovely vibes, interesting catchups and great company.
Would I got again…. YES

See you soon.✌✌✌&❀❀❀

Travel diaries – Humidity is real -natural hair problems.

The biggest error was thinking I could takeΒ  my blog pictures at the end of the day. The humidity out here dealt with me.Β  Look at my hair. The fizz got the best of it.
However, I still wanted to capture.

Pretend you can’t see my hair. πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

Travel Diaries – Boxy Tops

Hey guys…
I had a great achievement today.Β Β  I have owned this particular boxy top for the longest while. I just couldn’t style it right and I didn’t think it fitted my shape.
Today I just wore it regardless of all.
I don’t think it looks too bad … right ?

Unfortunately, I forgot to capture the back but it’s pretty sheer and unlined.

Travel Diaries – Uber- Lagos worst kept secret

image

If you don’t have a car in Lagos YOU are finished❗❗❗
I don’t drive out here or have a car at my disposal at all times.

I was so anxious about this because you can’t always rely on people and taking taxi’s all the time can become costly.Β  Not being able to move around freely will put a real dampener on your holiday.

I was told that UBERΒ  was effective in Lagos but I did not believe it.
On getting to lagos I tried my Uber app and it WORKED. I requested for a taxi and it arrived within 15 minutes of the request.

I was pleasantly suprised that the driver called me within minutes of the request to confirm the booking and pick up address.
The car that arrived was clean and had A/C πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ *woohoo*.
The biggest shock was to find that the pricing was very very reasonable. Even cheaper than the rubbish local taxi’s here.

I am giving Uber Nigeria /LagosΒ  a huge πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

My only issue is that this great service has not been marketed well. Most people here are still unaware of the service.Β  … what a shame .

Till the next post ✌✌✌&❀❀❀

Travel Diaries -Worst kept secret in Ikeja πŸ†– ‘B Natural spa’

Since I have been out in Nigeria the hammertan has made the whole environment dry and very dusty. No doubt this has taken its toll on my feet.

A friend recommend a spa called ‘B Natural’ at Isaac John street in Ikeja. Sincerely I had no expectations because I have been stung by some real cow boys out here ( I learnt to ‘shine my eyes ‘ πŸ‘€πŸ‘€ the hard way) .
Anyway….. cut a long story short. I had a pedicure at this spa and they exceeded ALL expectations.Β

image

Back in the UK very few salons or spa locations include a leg massage when you book for a pedicure.

The treatment cost me just 4000 naira which is the equivalent of less than Β£15.
I am still in shock at the great service I received.
I was suprised to see that the pedicurist was a man. However, I soon put these thoughts to the back of my mind because he was full of muscles and very good with his hand. πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ’†πŸ’ͺπŸ˜πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜‰
*check video on my instagram *
The location was clean and cool. The staff were polite and complimentary. My feet look great and feel baby soft. Mehnnn !!! what more could I ask for.

image

If you are ever in the location be sure to check out B Natural.

See you soon.
