Denim is still doing its thing. It is more or less season-less but this season we are seeing more flared demin and demin on demin and demin skirts. It ties in perfectly with the 70s trend.
I shared some of the pics a little while back. This is the perfect time to pull out you flared jeans. Maybe not with sandals but you get my drift😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉.
I absolutely love the idea of a denim skirt. This would be my ideal look for a denim skirt below
If I could, I would dress my denim as seen below.
It’s seems very strange wearing flared denim after having lived in skinny jeans for so long. Have you switched to Flares yet ?
@ijaykheavens let’s be friends
See yu tomorrow for trend ‘E’

Thank you for still having a tall section in a majority of your stores. To often have I seen the tall section shunted to the tiny corner (usually at the very back of the store), you will be lucky if you find a rack of tall clothing in the stores who have a tall range. In many cases its totally non existent…. zero… zilch…nadah…diddly-squat.
As if we tall ladies do not matter or exist.
“Am so sorry you can only shop the range online now”.
“The full collection is only online”
We only exist in cyber space !
No it’s not the largest collection nor the most trendy but my god is it refreshing to see.
Ok…. rant over
Bye 😚😚

Sooooo a few weeks ago I become a Godmother for the very first time. Not totally sure what this new role would entail but I am completely humbled and over joyed to have even been considered. In a rather shallow manner “what to wear” was one of the first things on my mind💭💭💭💭. Yes this topic was phone conversation worthy and I am glad that wearing white was ruled out early on in the conversation. And then it hit me….
Bright hues would be brilliant for a baptism
There you have it, todays look was born.

I have been looking for a yellow blazer this shade for the longest, well, since I saw Gabrielle Union looking fabulous in one on season 1 of BMJ. Then I spotted this beauty in my local Topshop on the sales aisle. The icing on the cake was when I noticed that it was TALLLLL!!! ( Winning 👌👌🙌😄)
Not a bad match huh?
Let me know your thought on this look… you likie?

Skirts are essentials in every ladies wardrobe. How much better when the skirt is a midi, pleated and printed.
Yessss🙌🙌. That’s triple glory in my books.
Pleated skirts have an element of “back to school” and it reminds me of my much cherished school days. I hated my pleated kilt skirt back then. Who would have known that I would be investing in pleated skirts now. On a more serious note, this skirt is lush and it would make the perfect center piece for every outfit.
I am obsessed with movement and this skirt has got it all and a bag of chips. Although not part of the tall range at Topshop, I just had to click buy.
The sad part of life is that you can’t always get what you want, when you want it.
So this is my secret.
When I can’t find a style in the tall range, I always check out the standard range. Generally I can get away with a midi length in the standard range.
Ta daaa!!!
Never let your height make you feel disadvantaged
This shirt works so well as a high waist number. Can you see what I mean by the length. Perfect for my long legs

The only way to survive the winter chill is to layer up. I also like to use this survival tip during the autumn but to a lesser degree by SOFT LAYERING.
This sounds more technical than it actually it. Essentially it requires the laying for thin layers of clothing to achieve a cosy look as I have done here. I styled this look for my Podiatry appointment today. Its been raining cats and dogs yet the temperature is still in the high teens. Getting dressed in the morning has just gotten even more hard and confusing to avoid not being too hot during the commute and not freezing in the evening. I literally threw on layers all in the name of trying to keep warm andddddddddd Voila !!!.. a pretty trending/ edgy soft layered look.
I like this look because it can easily go from a day to a evening look, i mean drinks after work kinda vibe. My scarf was bought donkey years ago from Topshop (I am not sure why I keep using animal idioms…. promise, this is the last one). It never gets old and the fringed ends add some much needed movement to this outfit, totally bringing it to life.
Hope you liked this throwing on layers look. Dont forget to connect with me so we can be friends on instagram @ijaykheavens. See you on the next post
Have you earned your fashion stripes.
You have to be pretty bold and basically not give a damn to try this striking stripe on stripe combination. But guess what…. I think it totally works. Don’t you?
This ensemble has it all going on. More is surely more here. We are seeing this trend all over the fashion runway with designer taking a linear approach and mixing chunky and thin stripes, vertical and horizontal. Anything goes so there is room on the line for you to stamp your personality on this look.
This wrap front shirt does wonders for me and the neck line is very flattering. As you can see this “fab” blouse was perfectly designed for my tall limbs and the sleeves kiss my wrist perfectly.
This trend will have you on the fast track to fashionable lane.
Today I am rocking out in a tea length wiggle wiggle dress … otherwise known as a midi dress.
Midi’s have made a massive come back and so now you can add more class to you closet with one if these.
This dress from Asos is my current day and night go to dress. Give me a pair of flat pumps and I would go from a lady who likes to lunch to casual shopping spree with the girls in an instant. It is totally versatile.
Wiggle wiggle dresse you are cut to perfection and you flatter and flatten all the right places.;)
One thing I love about midi is that it is not restricted to a specific body shape. My slim and curvy ladies can pull this off and so can my petite and tall beauts.
Have fun with experimenting with dress lengths and don’t let anyone dull your midi shine.
Is it too warm to wear a sweater in the summer … Well in my eyes, comfort is always in season.
I am feeling comfortably fashionable in this ensemble. If you live in the UK you will understand why it is good to stay loyal to warm wears. Yes, even in the summer months.
I love the cut out shoulder detail on this sweater. As I always say, “A little shoulder sexy-ness never hurt no body”. Instantly this sweater does not look so chunky , although its a pretty thick yarn. The oversize cut makes this a perfect piece for relaxing in as it hangs looses on the body.
Would it be wrong for me to just live in these jersey trousers.?
They are so comfortable. What I love most is that they are in this Oak Buff/ Camel colour that is hot for Fall 2015. Ladies I know we complain about trousers not being long enough but these trousers really shut me up. The viscose fabric dropped so much that this trousers would have been sweeping the streets had I not rolled them at the waist.
I completed this look with a simple neck piece . For the effortless fashionable finish.
I had totally forgotten about my Birks till I visited my physiotherapist who pointed out that I was getting flat foot. Now am on a quest to take better care of my feet. I am no podiatrist but I have read that the raised arch of Birks helps support the foot’s natural shape and structure.

There are no two ways about it I live in my skinny jeans. But from time to time it’s important to move away from your comfort zone.
I am very glad that wide leg trousers have not totally died and I strongly believe they are making a comeback. I refused to threw out my wide leg trouser and jeans and I don’t think you should either… (advise from a hoarder).
I felt really ‘hippie’ in this paisley print palazzo trousers. To top things off I rocked out in my tassel bag.
You can probably tell that I am NOT a visual merchandiser but I am quietly pleased with my improvisation skill here. Byebye studio light… hello fancy clothing rack.
Prints are taking over this summer 2015. The trick is to mix your printed items with bold colours as I have done here. Stay tuned for my take on prints. You will be amazed at the variety.
I said YES to a bit of fringe and some tassel on the top; in an attempt to bring back the 70s shake to this 21st century world.
I love the back slit on this maxi duster … it gives a cheeky peek of my palazzo trousers with every step. It also give added movement to this cover up. All for extra fabulousness;).
The duster jackets are very similar to trench coats but made with much lighter fabrics so they are prefer for the spring and summer. The perfect ‘threw on’ to keep my skin covered and cool in the 45 degrees middle east sun.

I know am not alone in my love for navy. I can’t quite explain it but something about this colour looks so royal… and ….rich;).
This is why most ladies would melt at the sight of a man in a navy suit 😍.
I was oozing navy in my all navy attire.
This midi slit dipped hem shift dress works wonders for am effortless chic look. Although not a tall garment the length is just right.
Navy is such a simple colour to wear but it looks so damn good.
