Fashion has no eyes

I recently changed my hair as you might have noticed from my pictures .

I have had a few compliments as to how fashionable a full fringe looks on me.  Fashionable is definitely good but this fringe is sooo long.. I can hardly see without tilting my head back.

They say the eyes are the windows to ones soul so I want to showcase mine.

I have been using the Benefit Eye Bright from Boots to give my eye a wider and brighter appearance.

This is so worth the £15.50

Take care not to over apply as it can look slightly odd if done over the top.

Colour confidence

It’s so easy to get stuck in a rot with the summer we have had … or not had!!  This feeling can reflect in the sorts of clothing you wear…or even the colours you choose.  September kinda marks the beginning of the autumn season. So why not go out with a bang. I just had this urge to experiment with colours. Yes I had people craning their necks to look at me. I did wonder if I had taken it a bit too far until I realised it was stares of admiration…;);) well… so my friend told me.

Wow… this full maxi skirt is everything to me right now.  Made from light fabrics so it sways and moves with every step.

Sweat patches are the bane of my life!
One of the main reasons I shy away from coloured clothing. However, I recently discovered sweat pads (God bless the genius who came up with this) and currently use PURAX Pure Pads Antiperspirant . Super discreet and works wonders.

Maximizing Maxi’s

As we approach what seems to be the end of the summer months here in the UK..😣😣.

I had to share a post on maxi’s… the ultimate summer piece.
We leggy beauties know how difficult it is to find maxi’s that are long enough.
I opted to shop from the tall connoisseurs here in the UK.

image

This garden maxi as its called is perfect for your garden parties and luncheons.  The subtle pinks and lilac flower prints makes it very feminine. We like👍.
The good news is  that you don’t have to wave floral prints goodbye just yet.  Long live the floral prints as they come in stronger and bolder for AW/15.

image

This dress speaks for its self. No fuss , no jewellery needed a very easy wear.

image

I am a huge fan of wrap front clothing  as it’s very flattering for the curvy lady.  That said, the neckline of this dress had to be pinned as it was too exposed.
While I felt this dress was a few inches shorter than I would have liked, it does show off the my metallic silver sandals perfectly and classic red pedicure.  Not so bad after all.

image

The halter and back detail on this dress was unexpected and a well received suprised.

Happy summering

Earn your stripes

Have you earned your fashion stripes.
You have to be pretty bold and basically not give a damn to try this striking stripe on stripe combination. But guess what…. I think it totally works. Don’t you?

image

This ensemble has it all going on. More is surely more here. We are seeing this trend all over the fashion runway with designer taking a linear approach and mixing chunky and thin stripes, vertical and horizontal. Anything goes so there is room on the line for you to stamp your personality on this look.

image

This wrap front shirt does wonders for me and the neck line is very flattering. As you can see this “fab” blouse was perfectly designed for my tall limbs and the sleeves kiss my wrist perfectly.

This trend will have you on the fast track to fashionable lane.

Travel Lookbook denim on denim

This is such an oldie but goodie. A classic ! The first thing that came to mind when putting this look together was ‘I don’t want to look like a cowgirl’. Not that there is anything wrong with cowgirls or cowboys. It just was not my desired look. I personally tried to stay away from denims the same shade and weight…. You should too. image While the rips on this jeans are not visible in this picture. Ripped jeans add a element of trendiness to this look. image image Don’t be afraid to add a bright lipstick to complete the look. A pop of colour makes life more interesting. Anything from shades of pinks to reds and oh maybe a deep berry would do the trick. image Ofcourse with every outfit you must cross your T’s and dot your I’s with some accessories. Don’t Midi me

Why hello there !

image

Today I am rocking out in a tea length wiggle wiggle dress … otherwise known as a midi dress.

Midi’s have made a massive come back and so now you can add more class to you closet with one if these.

image

image

This dress from Asos is my current day and night go to dress. Give me a pair of flat pumps and I would go from a lady who likes to lunch to casual shopping spree with the girls in an instant. It is totally versatile.
Wiggle wiggle dresse you are cut to perfection and you flatter and flatten all the right places.;)

image

image

One thing I love about midi is that it is not restricted to a specific body shape. My slim and curvy ladies can pull this off and so can my petite and tall beauts.

Have fun with experimenting with dress lengths and don’t let anyone dull your midi shine.

See you on the next post.

Summer Sweater- Fashionably comfortable

Is it too warm to wear a sweater in the summer … Well in my eyes, comfort is always in season.
Screenshot_2015-06-25-22-22-09-1-1-1[1]

I am feeling comfortably fashionable in this ensemble. If you live in the UK you will understand why it is good to stay loyal to warm wears. Yes, even in the summer months.

I love the cut out shoulder detail on this sweater. As I always say, “A little shoulder sexy-ness never hurt no body”.  Instantly this sweater does not look so chunky , although its a pretty thick yarn. The oversize cut makes this a perfect piece for relaxing in as it hangs looses on the body.

Would it be wrong for me to just live in these jersey trousers.?

They are so comfortable. What I love most is that they are in this Oak Buff/ Camel colour that is hot for Fall 2015. Ladies  I know we complain about trousers not being long enough but these trousers really shut me up. The viscose fabric dropped so much that this trousers would have been sweeping the streets had I not rolled them at the waist.

image

I completed this look with a simple neck piece . For the effortless fashionable finish.

I had totally forgotten about my Birks till I visited my physiotherapist who pointed out that I was getting flat foot. Now am on a quest to take better care of my feet. I am no podiatrist but I have read that the raised arch of Birks helps support the foot’s natural shape and structure.
