Travel diaries- Bardot with jeans

As blazing hot as it is in the day times, the evenings are very chilled and breezy.
Unfortunately I didn’t pack much cover ups.
However, I think that Bardot tops are a good way of serving some shoulder sexynessssss.
I wore my Bardot bodies with skinny jeans.  Simple and yet stylish.

Sadly my feet have been swollen from the heat and the flight… flats sandals and sliders are the only things that fit.

Travel diaries – Lady in Red

The colour red is such a bold and statement colour. I think it requires lots of confidence to wear because you will most definitely get lots of stares.

I normally have my unbothered hat on while on holiday. My motto is that I will be gone in a few weeks or days so “what the heck!”

Before I share my outfit, I just wanted to show off my makeup skills.😜.
I have literally just touched down and everything is already glowing.  This natural sun light is great for selfies but also used the Live Love make up bronze palette.

This gorgeous off the shoulder maxi dress was take from my mother’s closet. I loved it at first sight and just had to have it. The colour is very eye catching. It’s totally on tend and the thin straps mean you don’t have to worry about the dress rolling off your shoulders.

The frills on this dress is very flattering and great for hiding my problem areas

image

I decided to tie a knot on the hem of this dress because it’s not quiet the right length for my tall frame. But when I like am item, I  go for it and just make it work.
I believe am working it! Hopefully it’s not too obvious either 😆.

Airport outfit styles

Happy new month and welcome to June. I am still stunned at how quickly we have come to midway through the year. June can be regarded as the official beginning of the summer ( well… at least in my mind it is). With the summer comes holidays and travel plans.
And here we are … discussing airport fashion.

What type of flyer are you?  Are you part of the glam squad with your high heels and 4 wheeled cases ? Or are you a fashion forward first class flyer. Maybe your more of a tailored and polished traveller.

I have definitely noticed a change in my airport fashion. More and more , I have decided to put comfort at the fore front of my dressing. While I have no issues with flying, it’s a no brainer that being comfort can and will make the flying experience more enjoyable and it will put you at ease.

I recently wore the Tall Lara Space Dye Lounge Top & Jogger Set from Boohoo. I was thrilled to learn that Boohoo stock a Tall range. I was even more pleased when the items fit well.

This outfit was perfect for all the airport hassle. Stomping up and down the escalators, bending and lifting suitcases .
I even relatively comfortable while slightly squashed in my economy seat.
Matching sets a great for that trendy sporty luxe look. Pair with trainers or plimsolls for that athleisure finish.

Happy holidaying. Feel free to let me know what your ultimate airport outfit would be.
In the mean time… here’s mine.

Travel Diaries – Hard Rock Cafe -Lagos

So just the other evening I had the pleasure of experiencing the brand new Hard Rock Cafe in Lagos.
Omg! Can I just say the ambience was amazing. People milling around, friendly staff and music in the background.
I almost felt as if I had been transported out of Lagos to a different city.

I liked the fact that there was a good mix of people at this location ( lots of Expatriates). It was full but not too busy, so great for meeting people and networking ( if people on Lagos stop being so stush).

We sat upstairs and had a great view of the stage and the downstairs area.
Plenty of staff and we were seated relatively quickly.

image

Unfortunately the service was a little slow but the cocktails made up for it. I ordered the electric blue and it was superb.
The pricing of then cocktails ranged from 2300 naira to 4500 naira.
Personally, I thought it was a bit pricey for Nigeria but what do I know.😐

I ordered the prawn fajitas. It’s arrived late and the guacamole was off. 😳😳😳

image

We were captivated my the deserts as the staff served the neighbouring table so we ordered our bundle of calories.

image

image

This picture does not do this desert any justice. It was HUGE.
Perfect for sharing.

To finish things off we had some onstage entertainment.

Overall, a lovely evening. Lovely vibes, interesting catchups and great company.
Would I got again…. YES

See you soon.✌✌✌&❤❤❤

Travel diaries – Humidity is real -natural hair problems.

The biggest error was thinking I could take  my blog pictures at the end of the day. The humidity out here dealt with me.  Look at my hair. The fizz got the best of it.
However, I still wanted to capture.

Pretend you can’t see my hair. 🙈🙈🙈

Travel Diaries – Uber- Lagos worst kept secret

image

If you don’t have a car in Lagos YOU are finished❗❗❗
I don’t drive out here or have a car at my disposal at all times.

I was so anxious about this because you can’t always rely on people and taking taxi’s all the time can become costly.  Not being able to move around freely will put a real dampener on your holiday.

I was told that UBER  was effective in Lagos but I did not believe it.
On getting to lagos I tried my Uber app and it WORKED. I requested for a taxi and it arrived within 15 minutes of the request.

I was pleasantly suprised that the driver called me within minutes of the request to confirm the booking and pick up address.
The car that arrived was clean and had A/C 🙌🙌🙌🙌 *woohoo*.
The biggest shock was to find that the pricing was very very reasonable. Even cheaper than the rubbish local taxi’s here.

I am giving Uber Nigeria /Lagos  a huge 👍👍👍👍

My only issue is that this great service has not been marketed well. Most people here are still unaware of the service.  … what a shame .

Till the next post ✌✌✌&❤❤❤

Travel Diaries- Stripped shirt dress👀👀

Hey guys… so the truth is that Lagos life is not for everyone.  I do miss the breeze and fresh air from Abiriba.
Lunch / hangout with the girls. Yes they looked but my holiday mood had been fully activated … plus I will be gone soon ✌.

Travel Diaries -Worst kept secret in Ikeja 🆖 ‘B Natural spa’

Since I have been out in Nigeria the hammertan has made the whole environment dry and very dusty. No doubt this has taken its toll on my feet.

A friend recommend a spa called ‘B Natural’ at Isaac John street in Ikeja. Sincerely I had no expectations because I have been stung by some real cow boys out here ( I learnt to ‘shine my eyes ‘ 👀👀 the hard way) .
Anyway….. cut a long story short. I had a pedicure at this spa and they exceeded ALL expectations.

image

Back in the UK very few salons or spa locations include a leg massage when you book for a pedicure.

The treatment cost me just 4000 naira which is the equivalent of less than £15.
I am still in shock at the great service I received.
I was suprised to see that the pedicurist was a man. However, I soon put these thoughts to the back of my mind because he was full of muscles and very good with his hand. 😄😄💆💪😍😃😃😉
*check video on my instagram *
The location was clean and cool. The staff were polite and complimentary. My feet look great and feel baby soft. Mehnnn !!! what more could I ask for.

image

If you are ever in the location be sure to check out B Natural.

See you soon.

Travel Diaries- No fancy titles- outfit share

I am all out of fancy titles today .
It’s an early start for me today.  Time truly flies when your having fun; but in Lagos more time is spend in traffic or in rescheduling a plan that has not gone according to plan.

So this is what I wore on today’s adventure.
